Tuition Fees

This experience is a big investment, and we recognise the significant contribution to your childs education. We are here to ensure your child has an incredibly enriching experience during their stay.

Program costs

2020-2021 Fees for 10 months, which is equivalent to a full year and 5 months, which is equivalent to 1 Semester.  For early arrivals or late departures, there may be an additional fee of $30/night for stays beyond the recommended arrival and departure dates.

International Education Program Refund Policy

 

  • Application fee is non-refundable;
  • Homestay Administration fee is non-refundable;
  • Full refund fee, less the application fee and administration fee, if the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) does not authorize the student to attend school in Canada. All requests must include the formal Letter of Refusal from Canadian Immigration and the Letter of Acceptance issued by the International Education Program;
  • Two-thirds (2/3) of the tuition fee, less the application fee and administration fee, will be refunded if the student withdraws prior to commencement of program;
  • One half (1/2) of the tuition fee, less the application fee and administration fee, will be refunded if the student withdraws within 30 calendar days of commencing the program; and
  • No tuition refund will be granted, for any reason, if the student withdraws after 30 calendar days of commencing the program;
    1. If a student indicates they will be returning to the School District’s International Education Program for a second or subsequent year and withdraws prior to commencing the second or subsequent year, the following will apply:
    2. 50% of the annual tuition fee will be refunded, less an administration fee, if they withdraw from the program prior to June 30 of the year in which the second or subsequent year of studies is to commence; and
  • No refund will be provided for any withdrawal after June 30 of the year in which the second or subsequent year of studies is to commence.
  • No refund will be provided if a student is dismissed or asked to withdraw from the program due to violation of school, district rules or any clauses in this Agreement and will be sent home at their parent’s expense.
  • In certain circumstances a fee-paying international student may become eligible to become a non-fee paying student upon their parent or guardian acquires a study or work permit and is in Mission, British Columbia for a settled purpose. A student may only change their status from fee-paying to non-fee paying before September 30 of the applicable school year. No refund of tuition will be provided to any student whose status changes after September 30th of the applicable school year. All other refund policies apply regarding change of status dates.
  • Students will not receive a refund as a result from the Mission Public School Board being unable to provide education services due to labour disputes or other causes beyond its control.  The Board of Education for Mission Public Schools shall not be liable for the losses or expenses you may incur, as a result, of the Board being unable to provide education owing to labour disputes or other causes beyond its control.

**Temporary Policy Clause due to the Covid-19 pandemic takes effect June 30, 2020 and is in effect until September 30, 2020 – New applications only – Full Refund, less non-refundable fees, if the Canadian Government continues to restrict travel to Canada due to Covid-19 preventing a student from entering Canada.  Students may choose to defer the start of their program to January/February 2021 without additional cost.  Regular Refund policy remains in effect upon the lifting of travel restrictions by the Canadian government, including travel exemptions for international students according to the IRCC regulations.
